Winners in Q4 2025 will be invited to visit the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, one of the most significant places for early human history, and attend a climate literacy programme that celebrates Kenya’s natural beauty and its sustainability efforts and reflects on our relationship with nature.

1.The competition is open to all secondary schools worldwide, focusing on students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 (ages 11 to 14)
Participation for the first competition – Climate Change – is completely free for schools.
Simply visit our registration page at globalclimateliteracy.org/competitions to sign up your school. You will receive a voucher code to share with your students.
Each competition phase lasts approximately 3 weeks for the Qualifying Stage and 7 days for the Knockout Stage. The Live Finale is a one-time virtual event.
Students can access the games on any device with internet access, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Schools will have access to a leaderboard, where teachers can monitor the progress and performance of their students throughout the competition.
Yes! The competition is designed to complement environmental education and can easily be integrated into your school’s extra-curricular or climate education programmes.
Students will learn about Climate Science, Biodiversity, Climate Resilience, and Circular Economies through engaging, bite-sized games.
