Who can participate in the Singapore Green Guardians Competition?​

The competition is open to all Sec 1 students in Singapore. Schools are encouraged to register student groups for participation.​

How do we register our school?

Teachers—especially those involved in Science, CCE, ALP, or environmental programs—can register their school by contacting Yvonne Qiu at yqiu@greenguardians.com.​

How much does it cost for schools to participate?

Participation in all four online competitions is completely free for all Singapore secondary schools. Additionally, the learning journey is fully sponsored for the top 30 winners of each competition.

What does the competition involve?

Each online challenge consists of 20 bite-sized games (3–5 minutes each) that students can play individually or with friends. Schools and students earn points to climb the leaderboard, earn certificates, and qualify for rewards.​

How long does each competition last?​

Each competition runs for 4 weeks with a total playtime of 1–1.5 hours.

What topics are covered?​

Climate change, green energy, water sustainability, and marine conservation—aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Singapore Green Plan 2030.​

What certificates and rewards are offered?​
  • Certificate of Completion for students who complete all games with 60% accuracy or more​
  • SGG Award for the top 5 schools​
  • Green Lab invitation for the top 30 students per competition
Can we participate in more than one competition?​

Yes! There are four competitions in 2025, and schools can participate in as many as they wish. Each competition features a different environmental theme.​
